UZO EGONU ART + Audio DISPLAY

A project as sound editor and tape recordist for the Uzo Eguno display at the Museum of the Home in London, curated by Makella Ama Ketedzi and Louis Platman.  With images that explore Igbo folkloric traditions, urban life and addiction, the space also included listenable folktales, recorded by Makella in response to the artist.

I edited digital audio files of these folktales as read by Chloe Filani, Tatenda Naomi Matsvai and Nikita Sena, thereafter recording them on analogue cassette tapes. Made available through a cassette player and headphones, visitors were provided with a tactile, intimate listening experience through the handling of physical media.
