Episode 4: Nicholas - Things Change Overnight

“Hong Kong people are born to have to move away from home, to find another place to live in…”

This episode catches Hong Kong-based community organiser Nicholas Wong during a brief stopover in London, recording an intimate window-side story amidst his home’s upheavals.

Along with soundscapes of migrating swallows, tree-top monkeys and sunlit curtains, he invites you to consider how we hold on to the things we know, as past and present realities collide.

In particular, this episode engages with the nuanced emotional geographies around the 2019 political environment in Hong Kong, and the legacy of those events.
